(Absecon, NJ–May 13, 2019) Atlantic City was awarded an AFL franchise in January of 2019 and launched immediately thereafter in order to field a team for the 2019 AFL season. With its proximity to Philadelphia, home of sure-fire arch rival the Philadelphia Soul, Atlantic City was an attractive market for the AFL. But where to house the players?
This is where Mi-Place™ at the Shore stepped in. We became an official housing sponsor of the new Atlantic City Blackjacks. Mi-Place at the Shore™ provided 1 and 2 bedroom apartments for the majority of their players in our newest building, with move-ins happening early May. “With our close proximity to Atlantic City, clubhouse with pool, state-of-the-art gym, gated entrance and secure building entrances, we were the perfect choice for them,” said Marisa Adams, property manager, “and we are excited to be part of the Blackjack family!”
How are they doing so far? They kicked off the 2019 Inaugural Season by challenging the Soul in their own territory. Coming up short by one possession in the first game ever for the franchise, the team and coaching staff showed a tremendous amount of promise for the rest of the season, which was evident in their home opener at Boardwalk Hall. They secured their first ever win in defeating the Columbus Destroyers 42-35. Head Coach Ron James, who has plenty of experience in the league as a two-time Coach of the Year, has the team going in the right direction. He is excited for this opportunity and plans to keep the success moving forward.

About Mi-Place™ at the Shore
Located in Absecon, Atlantic County, NJ, Mi-Place™ at the Shore offers one or two bedroom apartments and two or three bedroom townhomes with one to two bathrooms.
